The urban Alberta advantage.

The last and only other time I was in Calgary was 10 years ago for a music trip, where we played in a mall.

A decade later, I work in a mall. Circle of life.

The final stop on the Drafted tour is this weekend in's been a lot of fun, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to visit so much of Canada this spring.

Until then!

Winni-Winni-Winni-What? Winni-Winni-Winnipeg!

(Thanks to Brent Furtney for the title inspiration).

I would say Winnipeg exceeded expectations. Admittedly low expectations, but exceeded nonetheless.

It was snowing and 3 (!) degrees on the Friday, but the weather on the weekend was great, sunny and 17-19 on Saturday & Sunday. Unfortunately I was in a mall for the majority of that time, and didn't get a chance to see the nicer parts of the city, but the sunlight was appreciated nonetheless.

Next stop: Calgary!

Welcome to Hali-wood!

My first time in the Maritimes was good times!

I'd definitely like to go back and see more of the city (and eat more of the seafood).

One of the coolest parts was going to Pier 21, where my family came in from Italy about 60 years ago. Seeing that was a pretty humbling experience to be sure.

This weekend the Drafted tour is in Toronto, which means I get to celebrate the big 2-9 at home with friends and family. It also means I'll be spending a lot of time at the Eaton Centre. Hmmph.

You can follow me on Twitter (@drafted) for updates from the auditions.
